El Trasgu is a mythical creature from northern Spanish and Portuguese Celtic folklore. I know him and his mates from holidays to mum’s village in Asturias, and loved looking at the prints, books, ceramics the local tourist shops sold featuring these creatures.
El Trasgu is something like a leprechaun; a mischievous little chap who in Asturias is always depicted as having a hole in his left hand.
